Women Aesthetics

After having children, your body significantly changes.

Understandably so, childbirth, while an incredible and beautiful achievement, puts an enormous amount of pressure on your body.

Once your little one arrives, it can feel like there’s a lot of expectation for you to quickly get back to a ‘perfect post-baby body’. Often, this isn’t possible — or safe.

In an attempt to get their vagina back to a pre-birth standard, some women turn to invasive surgeries like labiaplasty or mesh sling treatment. These can cause many complications, as well as being very costly.

Instead, if you’re looking to achieve intimate wellness after having your baby, try HIFU vaginal rejuvenation.

This quick and effective treatment is considerably safer than surgical procedures and can help improve your pelvic floor muscles, your external vaginal aesthetics, your sex life and your confidence.

Importantly, it can help you start to feel more like yourself while you’re giving a lot away to others.

Many people looking for post-birth vaginal rejuvenation turn to Shelley here at FemRevive, due to her 22 years of midwife experience and vast knowledge of the concerns you may be having.

Common vaginal concerns after having a baby include:

  • Feeling loose — After you give birth, some of the cells in your vagina will be damaged. As a result, the cell renewal process in this area naturally declines. This loose feeling could point to vaginal laxity.
  • Leaking urine when you put your body under ‘stress’ — For example, when you jump, sneeze or laugh. This is known as stress incontinence. When you give birth and during pregnancy, your pelvic floor muscles get stretched and become weaker. This means your bladder doesn’t stay closed as well as it once did.
  • Difficulties with becoming aroused — The strain your vagina is put under during childbirth can affect your natural processes in this area, leading to less blood flow, lubrication and sensitivity. This can make it difficult for you to become aroused.

There is a solution to your concerns. Using HIFU vaginal rejuvenation, Shelley is able to help you to:

Frequently Asked Questions

You need to wait 3-6 months after being signed off by the doctor.

HIFU is not suitable for anyone breastfeeding. Very few actual       scientific studies have been conducted looking particularly at the safety of cosmetic procedures during lactation. Clearly, the main concern in this situation is the possibility of chemicals or medications being absorbed into the mother’s system and from there excreted into her breast milk, which could potentially affect neonatal growth and development. HIFU treatment does not involve any chemicals or medications. Energy-based devices that result in skin tightening such as HIFU can be really helpful post pregnancy for women who feel they need to regain their body confidence.

  1. It’s very precise – causing very precise controlled micro injury points.
  2. It’s proven medically safe.
  3. The fact that it doesn’t damage any of the surrounding tissue.
  4. The depth at which the focused sound-waves can reach (to a depth of 4.5mm) into the vaginal muscle This means the treatment results last longer as they-re actually tightening the deep vaginal canal muscle structures, and not just the superficial tissue.
  5. HIFU is a multi depth treatment. In one treatment we will tighten at 3mm, and 4.5mm depths into the vaginal canal / tissue.
  6. Unlike lasers, HIFU can be performed on all skin types because the focused ultrasound wave only converts to heat at the focal region and does not damage the outside tissue.
  7. Currently no other modality has the combination of these attributes and can do what HIFU is capable of doing! HIFU is in a league of it’s own!
  8. It works with the body naturally. We like to call it the Benjamin button effect.

One treatment is advised initially, and then we assess on an individual basis as to whether you will need further treatments. Ultimately, the decision is yours as to whether you want any further treatments. Price per treatment is £500.
